Forwarding the message of calm and gentle birth.......

As a HypnoBirthing practitioner I provide birth support to HypnoBirthing couples. I also offer private sessions for fear release, regulating the body/ blood pressure and breech turn scripts.

The fee for a private session is $65.00 (non client) $50.00 (current client).

I recomend looking into HypnoBirthing┬« The Mongan Method to learn more about this technique and the benefits that come from using it. If you're interested in taking the class I recommend Hypnobirthing Instructor Kerstin Smith here in Madison.
If you choose to have a Hypnobirth it's helpful to have the support of someone who understands the philosophy and techniques of HypnoBirthing┬« to help guide or redirect you if needed during labor. Many mamas do well at home but lose their focus while transitioning from home to hospital and need help getting back into a deep relaxed state.

What's the difference between a HypnoBirthing practitioner and a traditional doula trained in HypnoBirthing?

A traditional Doula trained in HypnoBirthing support acquires her training through a one day workshop where she is taught techniques and philosophical information needed to support HypnoBirthing families.

During this training they are taught:

  • Support techniques
  • The softer language of HypnoBirthing
  • Watch videos of HypnoBirthing families in home and hospital settings
  • The how and why HypnoBirthing philosophy fosters gentle birthing

A HypnoBirthing practitioner training consists of a 4-day, 2-part Childbirth Educator Program consisting of a 16-hour, Introduction to Hypnosis for Childbirth or Introduction to Birthing Basics, and a 16-hour, Certification Workshop for HypnoBirthing.

During this training they are taught:

  • Relaxation techniques that eliminate the Fear-Tension-Pain Syndrome
  • How to provide hypnotic techniques to bring about easier, more comfortable labor and birthing
  • How the mother's body is designed to work in neuromuscular harmony with nature
  • How to eliminate fear and replace it with confidence and understanding
  • How to teach the birthing companion hypnotic rapport
  • Prenatal, perinatal, and postnatal parenting and bonding-and much more.
